Roseville,New Construction
“My wife and I were searching for help with our landscape. We bought our house in 2005 in Roseville, CA. Debby came to us by personal referral fom another friend that has used Debby in 2004 and was very happy with her work. The process started with Debby coming our to our house several times, looking over her portfolio, and getting some basic ideas as to what to do with our back and front yards. It was important to us to have a native plants palette, reduce our water consumption, and stay within the confines of our homeowners association. Debby was a newer designer at the time, but we had confidence in her.
Our project is ongoing, but we have a Master Plan that we have followed from day one. What was once a barren, sloping lot has become a tiered, beautiful landscape. Debby encouraged us to wait on our outdoor kitchen until we had been in our house for one season. We wanted everything done within the first year, but she slowed us down and explained that we would really grow into our home and our landscape over that first year, and our ideas and tastes would change. She was absolutely right. The location of the barbecue has changed several times, and if we had gone with our first ideas and instincts we had we would have sadly had our kitchen built in the wrong place. As built now, it is in the perfect location with all the amenities we wanted.
It has now been almost 5 years since we first contacted Debby and she has bee with us through every phase. She is responsive, cretaive, and thorough. We never would have thought that we would still be living in our home, but the market changed and we adapted. It is so nice to have Debby to call upon for plants tips and we are looking forward to having our gazeb0 built in early 2010.
Debby, we are pleased to offer this reference for your outstanding work. You are as nice a person as your are a skilled, hard working designer. We could not be happier with the outcome of our landscape and trust that you are continuing your initial success. Thank you so much for a job well done and for never giving up on us?”
P. S. We also LOVE our water feature! We get compliments on it all the time.

Citrus Heights Budget Eclectic
“I was on a very tight budget. I had lots of ideas but no one I talked to seem to grasp my budget constraints and my quirky tastes. Debby came out to my house a number of times before we started working together and before we ever signed a contract, I knew I wanted to work with Debby. She always had time for my questions, did not direct or push me into a plan or products I could not afford. But, she knew my plan were to stay in my home. One of the things she did was to break up an outdoor, outdated, UGLY, concrete patio and use pieces of it for steps and pathways. I had never seen or done anything like this. I had two full palettes of bricks that my father had left for me to use and I had no idea how to use them in my garden. Debby showed me how we could work with both the dated concrete and a few elements existing in my garden.
I love what she did for me and I encourage you to call her!”

Recent photos of Sarah’s landscape.
Agastache is a hearty, native, and drought tolerant planting. These have taken off beautifully. They are enhanced with other perennial plantings and make a great bouquet for the house as well!
‘Betty Rollins’ Oregano fits the drought tolerant theme of Sarah’s garden.
Sarah discovered this perfectly suited garden art at a garage sale. Set among blue oat grass it is a bit of a surprise in her garden and fits perfectly.
This just may be my favorite spot in the garden.
This spring I will plant perennials to add color to the backdrop of my “one of a kind” bench. I love it!
Deb encouraged me not to use the red mulch/stone. I wish I had listened to her!
But I do love this firepit. Almost like camping!
Thanks Debby for letting me add some updates. I love my garden. Thank you again for all your efforts on my behalf.

Dear Debby:
Now that the rain and snow has stopped, we are spending the weekend “spring cleaning” including our landscape. Don and I appreciate your recommendation of the gorilla bark for our beds. It has done its’ job not only keeping the weeds away but amending the soil. We will put a fresh layer on for another year. We are sending you some pictures to go with our testimonial. We thought it would help to share – without a lot of words – the beautiful landscape you planned for us. It has been 5 years since we first met and you created our Master Plan. Thank you for hanging in with us throughout and we absolutely love the landscape we now have. For anyone in the Sacramento area looking for a one of a kind designer – personable, creative, thinking “outside of the box” – Debby may be that designer for you. It’s been quite a journey but a very nice one. Please stay in touch. And if we can ever be a reference for you, or you want to show our landscape to a client, just let us know!

When we have guests or family at the house – everyone loves this spot in the garden.
We love our sweeping beds and shade plants!
This is another of our favorite spots!! It has all come together so well.
Thank you! Thank you!
Have a great summer.
