As I have shared in previous posts, every design, and every rendering is a little different. For this client I used a larger vellum, rendered the design with pencil, ink, and chalk and added to the vellum not only photographs of the major plant material but the plant list as well.

The plant list should always appear on your final planting plan, with notations as to botanical and common names, sizes, quantities, and locations. This is the “blueprint” of your landscape. Separate would be used for any features to be built, accompanied by the designers notes and specifications.
